Social media team lead on contract with CDC Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (DHDSP). Proposed and led the implementation of a complete overhaul of DHDSP’s social presence to pivot efforts toward consumer outreach. Management of annual social media budget, project team, and deliverables, including regular performance reports and analysis. Leadership of internal and client-facing meetings. 

Monitor and provide analysis of social media industry trends and news, including strategy recommendations in response to the federal conclusion of the COVID-19 pandemic, the acquisition of Twitter (X) by Elon Musk, and the July 2023 injunction prohibiting contact between the CDC and social media platforms. Keep clients up-to-date on the latest policy developments and ensure social media activities comply with federal and legal guidance. 

One of ten employees across the enterprise selected for the 2023 cohort of the Altarum Leadership Development Program. Provides Palladian senior leadership with analysis of and guidance on social media industry trends. Reinstated and assumed leadership of Palladian’s young professionals development group, including facilitating guest speakers, moderating open discussions, and the launch of Palladian’s first-ever company-wide salary transparency survey.

Developed and posted all social media content and short- and long-term social campaigns to engage grassroots creator advocates, showcase the diversity of the creative community, and push for legislation and policy changes in Congress. Developed, coordinated, and published grassroots social media campaigns in support of the Copyright Alternative in Small-Claims Enforcement (CASE) Act of 2020. 

Social analytics tracking and report preparation for presentation to company executives weekly, monthly, and quarterly. Initiated ongoing Facebook ad campaign for increased page likes; responsible for budget management, analytics tracking, and monthly report compilation. Total following across platforms increased by nearly 50%.

Collaborated with staff policy attorneys to draft and send weekly policy update newsletter to engage key contacts at member organizations and on Congressional staff. Compiled and sent internal daily media reports and maintained a general media coverage list for continuing outreach and education on the nuances of copyright law.

Social Media and Marketing Intern (January 2019 – May 2019)

Drafted all social media content, with a particular focus on decarbonization and retrofitting efforts across New York City. Tracked and analyzed social performance metrics: 180,000 total Twitter impressions, LinkedIn following increased by 11%, and Instagram following by 10%. Assisted with website updates as needed. Designed marketing materials for the 2019 annual conference and assisted with event setup and coordination.

Created and maintained press lists for major clients such as Deloitte and LexisNexis. Assembled briefing books ahead of interviews and monitored daily press coverage for clients. Performed regular outreach to form connections with potential clients before elevating to senior leadership.

Marketing and Outreach Intern (May 2018 – August 2018)

Supported the migration of website content during the implementation of a complete website redesign. Created written and visual communications content targeted at shareholders and major partner corporations to educate on efforts to protect the environment, uplift farming communities, and eliminate enslavement and child labor within the global cocoa supply chain. Assisted with planning the 2018 annual conference with the attendance of 300+ industry representatives.

Communications Intern (February 2018 – May 2018)

Pitched and implemented social media strategy for more visibility by increasing content output across multiple platforms to educate audience members on methods to find employment or other engagement opportunities within the nonprofit and social impact industry. Monthly Twitter impressions increased by 50%, monthly Facebook post reach increased by 25%. Established social media metrics tracking plan and assisted with editing, uploading, and posting blogs through WordPress.

The Climate Reality Project
Digital Media and Communications Intern (May 2017 – August 2017)

Drafted website copy, email marketing campaigns, and blog posts encouraging grassroots action on climate change and applications for Climate Reality Leadership Corps training. Authored posts across multiple social media platforms and used tracking tools to analyze and adjust content to meet the nuances of each audience. Provided input on content direction and pitched ideas during communications team meetings. Assisted with uploading and scheduling blogs via Drupal. Responsible for leading all general and executive board meetings, running events, motivating members, overseeing the club budget, and acting as primary liaison between the board, other clubs, university administration, and outside vendors including caterers and offsite venues.

Developed and executed social media campaign to raise awareness of campus club and generate higher rates of attendance. Increased Facebook followers by 35%; launched Instagram account and reached over 250 followers within 4 months.
